Honest Beauty Research, Plainly Explained
BeautyFinderr is an independent review site for skincare and makeup. We gather what is known about popular products and explain it clearly, so you can decide what is worth your money.
What We Do
The beauty aisle is crowded and the marketing is loud. Most products promise a lot, and it is hard to tell which claims are backed by ingredients and evidence and which are just good packaging.
We focus on well-known, widely available skincare and makeup products. For each one, we explain what it is, what it is designed to do, who it suits, who should skip it, and what to consider instead. Our buying guides compare products side by side, and our blog answers the specific questions people actually search for.
How We Research
Every review and guide is built from the same four sources.
Manufacturer information
What the brand says the product contains, what it is designed for and how it should be used.
Ingredient lists
What is actually in the formula, including active ingredients, fragrance and anything likely to matter for sensitive skin.
Customer feedback
The overall pattern of what buyers report in retailer reviews, positive and negative, rather than any single opinion.
Published guidance
Dermatology resources and published research on ingredients, so our explanations reflect current evidence.
What We Don't Do
- We don't claim to have tested products. Our reviews are research-based, and every review says so.
- We don't invent numbers. No made-up star ratings, prices or review counts. If we don't have reliable data, we leave it out.
- We don't sell rankings. Brands cannot pay to be reviewed, recommended or placed higher in a guide.
- We don't give medical advice. Our content is general information. For skin conditions, we point you to a dermatologist.
How We Make Money
Some links on BeautyFinderr are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission from the retailer.
That commission never changes the price you pay, and it does not decide which products we cover or what we say about them. We point out the downsides of every product we review, including the ones we link to.
Our Standards
Clear about sources
Each guide explains how it was put together, and where evidence is limited we say so instead of overstating it.
Both sides of every product
Every review has a "Who should skip it" section, because no product suits everyone.
Kept up to date
Formulas, prices and availability change. We revise our content when information changes, and show when each page was last updated.
Corrections welcome
If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us. We check it and fix it.
